Swimming is an essential life skill, especially for Singaporeans
who live on an island. Chances are also high that any soldier in
operation will see some time in the water. To ensure that our
soldiers are able to manage this, we train our soldiers to be
water-confident. We build up their stamina through aqua jogging
training. By correcting their technique with practice, they stay
afloat better and improve their overall physical fitness at the
same time.

This swimming training not only helps to overcome any obstacle in
life. The recruits will also use these swimming skills out in the
field as they have to cross bodies of water while keeping their
rifles dry.
